Description
A document (card) verifying successful completion of
the ATLS® Student Course is provided to
each
doctor who successfully completes the course. This document and
the
individual's student status are valid for 4 years from the date of
issue
(last day of the Student Course). To maintain a current status in
the ATLS® Program, the Committee on Trauma recommends that these
individuals
successfully complete a Student Refresher-type Course or retake the
entire
ATLS® Student Course every 4 years.
The Student Refresher Course is a half-day designed for individuals who successfully completed an ATLS® Student Course 4 years previously.
Prerequisites
Individuals whose ATLS® provider status
is current through six months lapsed at the time of the Student
Refresher Course may enroll and participate in a Student Refresher
Course. Auditing a Student
