EMS & Trauma Education

American Heart Association CPR Anytime

Credit
No formal credit or certification is awarded.  Students who complete the standard course do not receive a formal "CPR card" that would satisfy most workplace or healthcare CPR requirements.  A version of self-study for CPR with automated external defibrillation (AED) use does have the option to earn a CPR card (see below).

Description
This 22-minute home course is designed to meet the needs of the general public who do not traditionally attend CPR courses. Currently:

CPR Anytime is a tool that can help increase survival rates in communities across the country.  People who receive the CPR Anytime kits are able to share lifesaving skills with their loved ones by using the kit to train their entire family.  Using a multiplier effect, studies have shown that for every single CPR Anytime kit used for training, an average of 2.5 people learn how to perform CPR.

The American Heart Association's CPR Anytime personal learning programs
for families and community members we offer include

Heartsaver AED Anytime is a self-study credentialed program that can be used in worksites to teach CPR skills and use of an AED.   A skills test is then administered by one of our instructors in order to receive an official card.  We do not offer this particular product for purchase, but recommend you visit the American Heart Association's web site for more information.  Students who complete this program can arrange to have the skills test by a certified instructor through our training center.

More information on all of these products is available from the American  Heart Association CPR Anytime web site.
