The NJ DHSS-OEMS allows EMT-Bs
to use this professional-level CPR certification for 2
elective
CEUs toward recertification. The EMT must keep track of
this credit as it is not automatically registered in their learming
management system (LMS) record.
Description
This course, offered according to the
newly released
2005 AHA Guidelines for Emergency Cardiovascular Care, is
designed to meet the needs of healthcare
professionals who respond to cardiac and respiratory
emergencies.

Prerequisites
Students must be physically able to
perform all skills
on a training manikin, which can be strenuous when done
correctly. The American Heart Association requires that
students
adequately demonstrate all skills to their guidelines in order to
complete the course.
