Directions

Courses are offered at various sites.  Registered students usually receive a confirmation letter with the specific room location(s) and parking instructions.


ROBERT WOOD JOHNSON UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL and UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School
New Brunswick Campus Locations, Parking in the NBPA Paterson St. Parking Deck

From the New Jersey Turnpike:
Take Exit 9 (New Brunswick) and proceed on Route 18 North about two miles to Route 27 South (Princeton).  At the sixth traffic light (which is behind the hospital) turn left onto Paterson Street.  Park in the deck on the immediate right.

From Route 1:
Take exit for Route 18 North and follow above directions.

From the Garden State Parkway (from points north):
Exit at Route 1 South (exit 130).  Proceed about nine miles to Route 18 North.  Follow directions as above.

From the Garden State Parkway (from points south):
Exit onto the New Jersey Turnpike South.  Follow directions as above.

From Route 287:
Exit onto Route 527 (New Brunswick Exit).  Follow Route 527 (Easton Avenue) for about six miles until it ends just under the railroad overpass.  Turn right onto French St.  At the second traffic light (which is behind the hospital) turn left onto Paterson Street.  Park in the deck on the immediate right.

TO THE MEDICAL EDUCATION BUILDING (MEB)
Enter the lobby of the UMDNJ-Clinical Academic Building across the street from the parking deck.  Stay to the far left at the receptionist's desk.  Take the elevators at the end of this hall to the THIRD FLOOR.  Exit the elevators straight ahead over the bridge to the hospital until you enter the Courtyard.  The Medical Education Building is the gray building on your right with office windows facing into the Courtyard.

TO THE CLINICAL ACADEMIC BUILDING (CAB) 125 Paterson Street
The CAB is across the street from the front entrance of the deck.
RWJUH EMS & TRAUMA EDUCATION and the MEDICAL COORDINATION CENTER (MCC) 126 Paterson Street
Exit the front of the parking deck and turn right on the sidewalk.  The Emergency Medical Service is attached to the parking facility.  Enter the lobby at EMS and turn right.
  • The EMS facility (126 Paterson St.) is between the Paterson St. Parking Deck and the railroad tracks.
  • Except during 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays, the front door requires ID access.  If it hasn't been unlocked, you may need to knock or use the door bell.  Please be patient with the dispatchers if there is a delay answering you at the door
    • HOSPITAL AUDITORIUM
    Enter the lobby of the UMDNJ-Clinical Academic Building across the street from the parking deck.  Stay to the far left at the receptionist's desk.  Take the elevators at the end of this hall to the THIRD FLOOR.  Exit the elevators straight ahead over the bridge to the hospital until you enter the Courtyard.  Cross the Courtyard to your left.  Pass the information desk, staying to the right and pass the gift shop into the main hospital lobby.  Cross left across the lobby and follow the hallway along the windows and following signs to “Administration.”  The Hospital Auditorium is at the end of this hallway.

    NEW BRUNSWICK HEALTH SCIENCES TECHNOLOGY HIGH SCHOOL
    Exit the front of the parking deck to the left and walk along the parking facility until you merge onto French Street.  The high school is the first building on the left after the parking deck.  The entrance is on Paterson Street.
