EMT-B Core Refresher

Application has been made to the NJ Department of Health and Senior Services--Office of Emergency Medical Services for 24.0 CEUs in the Core category.  The National Registry of EMTs accepts NJ CEUs on a one-for-one basis.

Description
This course provides a broad review of all elements of the EMT-B core curriculum.  For current EMT-Bs, this program provides the required continuing education in the core category needed for recertification.  Former NJ EMTs with expired certifications or initial EMT students who have recently failed the EMT-B Certification Exam may attend this class to fulfill their necessary retraining and remediation before retaking the EMT-Basic Certification Exam offered by New Jersey.  

No specific EMT-Basic textbook or workbook is required prior to registration.

Prerequisites
Applicants to this program must prove current CPR certification at the time of the course and have completed an approved NJ EMT Initial Training Program.

Date(s) & Time(s)

Each offering includes four total sessions.  The first three are lecture, discussion, and demonstration.  The fourth session is skills review, practice, and evaluation.
Fee(s)
$120.00 includes tuition, materials, parking and refreshments.  Eligible volunteer EMTs may submit an original, appropriately signed EMT Training Fund Certificate of Eligibility for Continuing Education Courses in place of payment.
