The NJ Department of Health and Senior Services Office of
Emergency Medical Services issued a letter outlining new restrictions on reimbursement from the NJ EMT Training
Fund
effective April 1, 2010. We will continue to offer affordable
high-quality relevant continuing education offerings to EMT-Bs during
this time of additional financial challenge NJ volunteer EMS.

To use the EMT Training Fund in lieu of payment for any of our courses, applicants must:
- Be
an active member of an eligible
NJ volunteer ambulance agency, according to OEMS.
- Mail both a completed registration
form and appropriate Certificate of Eligibility together to the address on the registration form.
- A separate training fund form must be provided for each
student per course. One form cannot be used for multiple courses or multiple students.
- The training fund eligibility form must:
- Carry an original signature in pen (Copies or faxes of signed
forms are not
acceptable. We must have the original signed form.)
- Be signed by a principal officer of the volunteer first aid or
rescue squad (ie. Captian/Chief, President, Treasurer) other than the
student applying for the course (i.e., squad officers cannot sign their
own forms).
In the event of incomplete coursework, failure, or absence (i.e.,
CEU credit is not awarded) the student will be responsible for full
tuition and billed according to our cancellation policy. Students
with an outstanding balance will have other current course
registrations withdrawn and not be permitted to register for another
course using the EMT Training Fund until full payment is made.
