American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid with Adult/Child CPR and AED

Credit
No formal credit is awarded.  Students who complete the course will be awarded a completion card valid for two years from the American Heart Association.

Description
This course is designed to meet the needs of the general public and lay rescuers.  It provides basic information and practical skills for use at home or the workplace.  This course is well-suited for workplace safety teams, security guards, day care staff, teachers, coaches, babysitters, civic groups, church organizations, ettc. Topics include:

Students should dress for practice on classmates and/or training manikins.  Some of this practice may be on the floor.

This program can be tailored to your group and offered at your site by special request.

Prerequisites
There are no formal prerequisites.  Students should come prepared to practice the various rescue techniques on fellow students and/or a training manikin. Your student manual contains a CD-ROM which you may find helpful to review prior to  class. You'll need a Windows-based PC with CD-ROM capability to watch the student CD.
