Credit
All sessions will offer elective CEU credit as
listed, approved by the NJ Department of Health and Senior Services
Office of EMS. Some approvals are pending. Credit for NJ
ALS providers is approved by their respective MICU clinical
coordinators. The National Registry of EMTs accepts NJ EMT-B CEUs
on a one-for-one basis.Description
These EMS education sessions are provided free to the
EMS community through the cooperative efforts of RWJUH EMS Education,
RWJUH Level 1 Trauma Center, and RWJUH Emergency Department.
Lecture topics are presented by professionals from RWJUH and
UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School as noted below.
Prerequisites
These sessions are open to the entire EMS community,
but are intended for currently practicing prehospital providers at the
EMT level and above.

- Wednesday, September 7, 2011 -- Communicating With Patients and the Healthcare Community
- Wednesday, September 28, 2011 -- Trauma Case Reviews (2.0 CEU)
- Wednesday, October 19, 2011
- 7:00pm – 8:00 pm: Communicating with the Patient and the Health care Team (1 CEU pending)
- 8:00pm – 9:00 pm: Documentation for EMS Providers (1 CEU pending)
- Wednesday, November 9, 2011 -- Safety in EMS
- Wednesday, November 30, 2011 -- Trauma Case Reviews (2.0 CEU)
- Wednesday, December 21, 2011 -- To be announced.
