HazMat--Emergency Medical Services Operations-Level II

This course has been approved for 8.0 elective CEUs for NJ EMTs by the NJDOH&SS-OEMS.  Paramedics should contact their clinical coordinator for CEU approval.

Description
This course is designed for emergency medical personnel who have previously taken the New Jersey Hazardous Materials Level I Awareness Course.  Level II EMS Operations provides training for emergency medical personnel responding to a hazardous materials incident without compromising the health and safety of the patient or the rescuer.

This course provides 8 hours of operational level hazardous materials instruction which meets the OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 requirements and PEOSH requirements NJAC 12:100-17.1.

The completion certificate is provided through the NJ State Police.

Prerequisites
New Jersey State Police Hazardous Materials Awareness course is a required prior to admission to the course.
