(PHTLS) Combined Provider
Credit
- 16 elective CEUs for NJ EMTs
- 16 hours towards Section II for
Nationally-Registered EMTs at all levels. Nationally-Registered
EMT-Paramedics can apply 16 hours from PHTLS toward their Section 1A or
Section III requirements.
- CEU approval for New Jersey paramedics is
through their MICU Clinical Coordinator.
Description
PHTLS is a product
of the National Association of
EMTs (NAEMT) and the American
College of Surgeons (ACS) offered in conjunction with the ACS New
Jersey Committee on Trauma. The program is designed to increase
the abilities of pre-hospital providers to assess and manage
trauma. Course faculty include professionals from the Level 1
Trauma Center at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
Prerequisites
The Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support program is open
to all levels of EMS responders. Hospital personnel involved in
trauma
care are encouraged to attend.

p.m.) and the weekend of February 9-10, 2008 (9:00 a.m. to 5:00
p.m.) held in Hamilton, NJ
- Wednesday, November 5, 2008 (7:00-11:00 p.m.) and
the weekend of November 8-9, 2008 (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
Fee(s)
$160.00 which includes tuition, parking, PHTLS
textbook,
and light refreshments.
