Trauma Triage & Transport

This program is approved for 3.0 elective EMT CEUs by the NJ State Department of Health and Senior Services--Office of Emergency Medical Services.  MICU personnel are awarded credit at the discretion of their clinical coordinator.

Description
The Trauma Triage and Transport course was developed here at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and is used across the state.  It's purpose is to introduce you to the New Jersey state guidelines to determine the most appropriate medical facility for the trauma patient in the field.  First responders, EMTs and MICU paramedics have found this nuts-and-bolts program useful in their daily care of trauma patients.

The program materials will be provided at the course.

Prerequisites
There are no formal prerequisites.  Students should be emergency responders familiar with the EMS system in New Jersey.

Free for EMS agencies in the primary coverage area of the Level One Trauma Center at RWJUH.  Otherwise, fee varies based on specific arrangements.
